Types of Metal Detectors

!±8± Types of Metal Detectors

Metal detectors are very useful devices which people use in order to find different objects, treasures or things which can help them discover all kinds of things about our history and so on. There are different kinds of such devices, working on different principles and here are the main things you should know regarding this matter.

First of all, you have three main kinds of detectors: the VLF ones, which are the most frequently encountered, the PI ones and the BFO ones. VLF stands for very low frequency, PI stands for pulse induction, while BFO stands for beat frequency oscillator. There are also other kinds of detectors, these three being, as mentioned before, the main categories we can find on the market today.

We have the Scanmaster detectors, which can also transmit electromagnetic signals in the ground, also being recognized for the RF induction and for the gamma signals, which make the search much more precise. The detection is much more accurate and so is the location of the objects searched for.

For instance, we can encounter the Dynamic Pulse 2 detector, which is a PI metal detector with a separate circuit, which is synchronized with the one of the detector. This synchronized circuit serves for applying a pulse which is powered by a twenty-four or a thirty-six adaptor. This way, the objects in the ground are charged more and you get a more accurate response if the object is buried deep in the ground.

This discussion can go on and on, but all you need to know if you are not such a great fan of these devices are the basics and these are the basics.
